New Kobra S1 Combo brings enclosed design and multi-material printing to Anycubic’s lineup.

Anycubic has a new 3D printer in the pipeline. The Kobra S1 Combo, recently showcased at a trade show, is set to hit the market on January 2nd, 2024, with pricing details still under wraps.

This enclosed system stands apart from its sibling, the Kobra 3 Max, with its protective build chamber that shields prints from disruptive air currents. While it lacks active chamber heating, the system leverages heat from its print head and heated bed – capable of reaching 120°C (248°F). The printer offers a compact yet practical 250 x 250 x 250 mm build volume.

For multi-color enthusiasts, the printer maintains a single print head design, managing filament changes through a cut-and-load process. The system can work with up to two ACE Pro units, each handling four filament spools.

Anycubic plans to reveal more details before the holiday season, though the core specifications paint a picture of a user-friendly, versatile machine aimed at both beginners and experienced makers.
