Leaked specs reveal Bambu Lab’s H2D printer featuring dual nozzles and expanded build volume

Bambu Lab, a leading innovator in the 3D printing industry, is poised to release their highly anticipated flagship printer, the H2D, according to recent leaks that have surfaced in the additive manufacturing community. The new model promises to surpass the capabilities of their current X1 Series, targeting prosumer markets with advanced features and enhanced performance specifications.

The leaked specifications reveal that the H2D will feature impressive dimensions of 492 x 514 x 626 mm, marking a substantial increase from their X1 Carbon model. Industry experts anticipate a generous build volume of approximately 350 x 350 x 420 mm, providing users with significantly expanded production capabilities for larger-scale projects.

A standout feature of the H2D is its sophisticated dual-nozzle extrusion system, implementing technology similar to the Ultimaker S Series. This advanced system automatically manages nozzle positioning, lifting the inactive nozzle while the other is in operation, potentially resulting in improved printing efficiency and reduced material waste during production cycles.

The printer’s designation “H2D” has led to speculation about enhanced high-temperature printing capabilities, with projected maximum nozzle temperatures reaching 400-450°C. This feature would enable compatibility with an expanded range of engineering materials, making it particularly attractive for professional applications.

Alongside the H2D, Bambu Lab is introducing the AMS2 Pro, an advanced material handling system. While detailed specifications remain undisclosed, industry observers anticipate improved multi-material handling capabilities and integrated drying features specifically designed for high-temperature filaments.

“The market positioning of this new system will be crucial,” noted industry analysts, who estimate the H2D’s pricing to start at approximately $2,000 USD to maintain competitiveness in the prosumer segment. This pricing strategy would position the H2D as a significant player in the high-performance 3D printer market.

The introduction of the H2D represents Bambu Lab’s continued commitment to advancing 3D printing technology, potentially setting new standards for prosumer-grade additive manufacturing capabilities. While official confirmation and release dates are pending, the leaked specifications have generated significant interest within the 3D printing community.
