Major 3D printing manufacturers unveil exciting new products and upgrades, from advanced hot-ends to innovative build plates, promising enhanced printing capabilities this holiday season.
Everybody knows that the holiday season is around the corner and the 3D printing community is excited with manufacturers releasing their new gear. Everything from improved hot-ends to game-changing build plates, this is what’s new in the 3D printing world.
Prusa Research is leading the charge with their new MK4S printer alongside various upgrade kits designed to bring older models up to speed with the latest features. Their intriguing hacker board, priced at $14.49, connects to the MK4S motherboard, opening up possibilities for everything from LED control to robotic arm manipulation, though patience might be needed with their typical 7-9 week lead times.
E3D’s PZ Probe is turning heads in the UK, introducing a clever piezoelectric sensor integrated into their Revo ecosystem heatsink. Priced at £60 ($78) for the Voron heatsink version or £35 ($45) for the standalone washer, it promises simplified bed meshing without additional hardware.
Bambu Lab users have plenty to look forward to, with Slice Engineering’s new Mako™ hot-end leading the pack. Priced between $99 and $134.99, it offers quick nozzle changes and improved flow rates, though shipping dates have faced some delays.
Creality’s recently lunch K1 SE, this printer targets DIY enthusiasts with its CoreXY design and flagship extruder, all for $359. Meanwhile, Sovol continues to impress with their T300 printer, now available at a competitive $329, featuring a generous 300x300x400 build area.
AnyCubic is pushing resin printing boundaries with their Photon Mono M7, boasting an impressive 90mm/h print speed and 14K optical system for $399. BigTreeTech and BIQU are expanding their Bambu Lab accessories lineup with several exciting products: the CryoGrip Pro Frostbite build plate, the innovative Panda Claw extrusion gear starting at $22.99, the Designer Series build plate featuring an attractive honeycomb pattern, and the Panda Branch – a power expansion for AMS or A1 printers that adds USB power ports for fans, cameras, and other accessories.
In the materials department, Sunlu’s new PLA+ 2.0 promises enhanced strength and faster printing at $14.99 per kilo for bulk orders. WhamBam’s carbon fiber flex plates offer durability for high-temperature printing starting at $49.
EIBOS is developing an exciting AMS add-on dryer for Bambu Lab users, with both multi-zone and affordable single-zone versions in the pipeline. For those concerned about air quality, FYSETC’s NeverMore StealthMax air filter ($75) targets VOCs and particles during printing.
As manufacturers continue to push boundaries and deepen user experience, the holiday season should be a great time for any 3D printer fan. From improving your current setup to trying something new and different, this latest round of advancements has something for everyone.
