Anycubic launches two new 3D printers with impressive speed and precision, targeting both budget-conscious and high-end users.

Anycubic has announced its newest set of 3D printing gear, the Photon Mono 4 and Mono 4 Ultra. These new machines boast serious power, but their significant improvements come in the form of speed, pinpoint precision and a couple of bonus features on the Ultra model.

Both printers boast a build volume of 153.4 x 87 x 165 mm and feature a 10K LCD mask, claiming an XY resolution of 17 x 17 μm. They’re also kitted out with built-in air purifiers and four-point leveling systems.

The standard Mono 4 can hit speeds of about 50 mm/hour with regular resins, ramping up to 70 mm/hour with the high-speed stuff. It pulls this off thanks to Anycubic’s LightTurbo matrix light source, which the company says achieves 80-90% light uniformity. Users control the show via a 2.8-inch touchscreen, with USB handling file transfers. So how does it stack up at the price level, Anycubic’s slapped a $189 on this model.

Move up to the Mono 4 Ultra, however, and you’re getting a bit more of everything its sibling offers. This one uses a COB light source and throws in a “Light Uniformity Algorithm” for good measure. The result? Light uniformity north of 90%, promising a boost in accuracy. It’s speedier too, with claimed rates up to 80 mm/hour on standard resins and a whopping 120 mm/hour with the high-speed variants.

The Ultra’s got a few more tricks up its sleeve. There’s a larger 4.3-inch touchscreen, ACF release film for quicker layer jumping, and expanded connectivity options including Wi-Fi and the Anycubic app. LAN support is on the cards too, but won’t be ready at launch.

While Anycubic’s keeping quiet on the Ultra’s price, both printers are set to drop on Amazon come September 16, with Anycubic’s own webstore following suit on September 18.

This launch coincides with Anycubic’s 9th-anniversary bash, so expect some deals and bundles on their printers and materials. For 3D printing buffs, it might be time to start eyeing that credit card.
