Prime Day 2024 ignites a 3D printing bonanza with Amazon and major manufacturers offering sizzling deals on printers, filaments, and accessories from July 16-17.
The sun might be a little late of the summer solstice, but Amazon Prime Day is back, and it’s delivering some blistering deals on 3D printers and accessories. Running from July 16-17, this massive shopping cycle looks more than just an Amazon event.
If you aren’t in the know, Prime Day is Amazon’s annual summer shopping extravaganza that doubles as a members-only mega sale exclusive to those who subscribe to its paid-up wing-man service: Prime. Here is the twist: you do not even need an Amazon Prime account to partake in a few of it, either. Some major 3D printer brands are jumping in to the sale bandwagon, with sales that start on Prime Day and last until they sell out.

Phrozen is taking a simpler approach with a 12% discount sitewide (excluding their newest Arco and Revo 3D printers). This applies to their full range of resins and resin 3D printers, including their latest RPG resin formulated for tabletop game figurines.
AnkerMake’s early Prime Day sale (July 8-16) focuses on bundles. One standout deal offers the headless M5C 3D printer combined with two spools of PLA and a spare print head for $299.
SainSmart’s summer “flash” sale runs from July 10 to July 21, with teasers showing up to 25% off some desktop CNC machines and laser marking machines.
3DMakerPro’s Maker Madness sale, running through July 18, offers up to 35% off the company’s range of handheld 3D scanners and accessories.
xTool is also joining the fray with discounts up to “58%” off. Their newly launched M1 Ultra 4-in-1 laser cutter, engraver, plotter, and die-cutting machine is discounted to $1,299 from its eventual retail price of $1,699.
A Word of Caution:
However, before you start throwing everything into your virtual shopping basket, remember: the devil is in the online sales detail. Not all retailers were honest about their “original” prices.

Amazon Prime Day is a limited-time shopping event, where the everything-store Amazon puts on additional sales for paid-up members of its Prime subscription. The deal also applies to those in the free trial period of their subscription, so given that all plans start with a 30-day free trial, there’s really very little reason not to take a look and subscribe.
Some deals last throughout the Prime Day event, while others are fleeting “lightning deals” – so it can pay to pay attention to what’s coming up. Such is the magnitude of the event, other stores bank on the interest and time their own “Prime Day” sales to coincide. It’s essentially a mid-year sales bonanza, akin to Black Friday, but centered around Amazon’s Prime membership program.
